Deliverance Seminar

On receiving Christ we become “born again” and our spirits are regenerated, but our souls still need to be renewed from deception and passivity – this includes our mind, will and emotions. Often our emotions need further care and ministry from painful past experiences and memories. These may have developed into a root of bitterness or roots of rejection, pride, rebellion or the occult. In this series of lessons you will learn to identify sources and symptoms of deception, bondage and emotional bruising and find liberty in Christ. You will also learn how to reach out to others in love, compassion and understanding in allowing them to enjoy wholeness in Christ through the revelation of His love and character. Truly, Christ came to set the captives free!

Ephesians

This book been called the “Magna Carta of the New Testament”, “The Throne Room of the Believer”, “The Epistle of Ascension” and the “grandest of all the Pauline teachings”. This mighty book is rich with the revelation of who we are in Christ – seated in heavenly places and redeemed by indescribable Grace. Commenting on chapter one Dr Annitage Robinson wrote, These twelve verses baffle our analysis. They are a kaleidoscope of dazzling lights and beautiful colours. They are like the flight of an eagle, rising and wheeling around as though for a while uncertain what direction in his boundless freedom he should take. So the Apostle’s thought lifts itself beyond the limits of time and above the material conceptions that confine ordinary men, into a region of spirit, a heavenly sphere, exulting in the attributes and purposes of God. He seems to be swept along by the theme, hardly knowing where it is taking him. He begins with God to men, the eternity of its purpose and the glory of its consummation. He cannot close his sentence. One thought presses hard against another, and will not be realized. And so this great doxology goes on and on, “in Whom … in Him … in Him … in Whom … ” You could never finish Bible School without looking into this great book, it is the most inspiring letter ever written!

Ministry Gifts

Ephesians describes the five-fold ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher which were given by Christ to the Church for ”the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, the edifying of the body of Christ till we come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God” We need a thorough understanding of these ministries in the Church if we are going to be instructed and nurtured into playing our part in ministering to the saints. These lectures will give you an understanding of the complementary role of each of these ministry gifts and an appreciation for Christ’s wisdom in setting them into His Body to build and equip Christians for work and service. Should you be called of God, into one of these offices, then this course will also help you to recognize and identify that call.

Galatians

The issue of Law, License and Grace has always been one of the great themes of biblical teaching. This book of the Bible is the most profound, condensed and powerful argument ever expressed in writing against legalism in the Church. No one can fully understand Christianity until they can clearly distinguish between the Law and the Gospel and between works and faith. Galatians was the great battle-axe that Luther brought down with terrific and telling force on the arguments of his foes. In this epistle he found the secret of his own deliverance, and taking this as his weapon he plunged into the fearful conflict with the legalism and religious materialism of his day. He said the following about Galatians; “The epistle to the Galatians is my epistle. I have betrothed myself to it. It is my wife.” This inspiring book will teach you of the great liberty that we have in our Lord Jesus Christ and the wonderful grace that empowers us to live holy and gracious lives.

Healing School

The subject of healing has often baffled the minds of Christians. Does God still heal today? Why do Christians get sick? Are there obstacles to receiving healing? Do all get healed? These are some of the questions that will be answered in this series of lectures. The Bible is our final authority on these issues and with joy you will learn that He is Jehovah Rapha – the God Who heals you!

Romans

This epistle has been described as “the A.B.C. of the believer’s education” because it unfolds five great eternal truths of the Gospel – condemnation, justification, sanctification, glorification and righteousness. Some of the great questions of Christianity are answered: How can man be right with God? What about the heathen who never heard the Gospel? What is the significance of Israel in history? What are the practical evidences of Christian character? Enter the great court room drama of chapters 1-3 where Paul the Apostle, like a skilled prosecutor, shows that the pagan, the moral and the religious man all stand guilty and condemned before God. Where he reveals God’s only source of freedom and pardon in the Blood of Christ. This priceless gem of Scripture in its doctrine, history and prophecy has produced untold millions of saints and theologians during the last twenty centuries. You could spend literally hundreds of happy hours studying this magnificent epistle.

Hermeneutics

Hermeneutics is science and the art of Bible interpretation. All sound doctrine arises out of the correct interpretation of Scripture. It is essential that you not only enjoy the inspiration of Scripture but also the correct interpretation and application of it in your spiritual life. Proverbs 25:2 says “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the honour of kings is to search out a matter” The Lord Jesus gave the early apostles definite “keys” of interpretation which they used in interpreting the Old Testament and writing the New Testament. It is with a desire for correct hermeneutics that this course is presented. As you begin to understand and apply the biblical laws and principles of interpretation, to use them in discovering the true meaning of Scripture, you will have both the light and fire of the Holy Spirit in your life.

Christian Leadership

The apostle Paul is considered the world’s most successful Christian; a study of his life reveals some of the greatest principles and qualities of effective Christian leadership. At a time in human history when sure leadership is desperately needed, yet so conspicuously missing, Paul stands as a towering example. Each generation has to meet and resolve its own leadership challenges and timeless spiritual principles can inspire and produce a generation of leaders who will champion the cause of Christ’s Kingdom and arise to positions of Godly leadership within nations. Join us as we trace God’s working in the life of Paul, his preparation for leadership, his failures, his successes and finally his example of leadership. In the Lord Jesus we have the inspiration of our perfect leader who never failed, but in Paul we have the encouragement of a man of like ourselves. This course will inspire, challenge and encourage you to leadership.

Contemporary Error

False teachings often subtly enter into the teachings of Christianity drawing believers into deception or to what is cultic. This series deals with issues that are current and topical to the Church and society. Truth about the New Age Movement, false prophets, false messiahs and issues like abortion, human rights, the environment, racism, marriage, divorce, humanism, pornography, suicide, sodomy, witchcraft and Satanism are all examined and considered. This series of lectures will equip you to be relevant and to contextualize the Gospel in the society in which we live.

Excellence in Ministry

Excellence was one of the hallmarks of Christ’s ministry. “And they were overwhelmingly astounded, saying He has done everything well – excellently, commendably and nobly” (Mark 7:3 7). This course focuses on the excellence of God. Throughout Scripture are reference to the excellence of His name, His kindness, His greatness, His work, His way and His will. In an age of compromise when almost anything can be passed off as ‘good enough’ you will learn the necessary qualities that will cause you to stand out as someone of excellence in your service of Christ.
